Climate protests disrupt elite lifestyle event

In the early hours of the morning, dozens of unofficial adverts appeared across north London in response to Tony Blair’s comments on net-zero policy. The adverts, installed by Climate Resistance, call out Blair for being bankrolled by billionaires and petrostates

The adverts read “Ban billionaire-backed Blair” and accuse him of being a “billionaire lapdog”, listing his charges as “lied about Iraq’s WMDs”, "destabilised the entire Middle East” and “ecocide and climate genocide” amongst more.

Guerrilla ad campaign calls out billionaires ahead of the Sunday Times Rich List

Dozens of unofficial bus stop ads appeared across  London, ahead of the Sunday Times Rich List announcement which is expected later today. The mock adverts were installed by campaign group Climate Resistance as part of their Abolish Billionaires campaign.

The posters highlight the central role of the super-rich in driving both climate breakdown and poverty, featuring messages such as “You’re getting poorer because the super-rich are getting richer” and “Your kids will live through a climate crisis fuelled by the super-rich.”

Climate Resistance infiltrated luxury lifestyle event ‘The Elite London’ at Wycombe Air Park, disrupting the showcase of private jets, yachts, and hypercars, with banners and chants.

During the ‘fly-before-you-buy’ personal aviation demonstrations, protesters chanted to abolish billionaires until they were removed from the event. Banners read: ‘BAN PRIVATE JETS’ and ‘WEALTH TAX NOW’.

‘The Elite London’ is an annual showcase of 150 ‘jet-set lifestyle’ brands, united by their high cost, from private aircrafts and luxury cars to boutique properties and high-end travel. Attendees are invited to arrive by plane, or fly from London to Wycombe by helicopter.

Guerrilla projections on the Houses of Parliament

Climate Resistance projected demands for a wealth tax on government buildings and landmarks across London. The words “Tax the super-rich” shone on the Houses of Parliament. Faces of billionaires Roman Abramovich and Jim Ratcliffe also appeared on the walls of the Treasury in Westminster alongside Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos with the call “Tax them out of existence!”

Climate protest disrupts London Tesla showroom

At midday on Saturday 1st of March the Tesla showroom in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush was disrupted by Climate Resistance activists to highlight the exploitation of people and resources fueling climate breakdown and lining the pockets of the super rich, such as Elon Musk. Activists staged a loud sit-in inside the showroom and dropped a massive banner with the words “Abolish billionaires” from a balcony above the storefront.

Kemi Badenoch’s Speech at Thatcher Conference

Activists from Climate Resistance disrupted Kemi Badenoch’s keynote speech at the Margaret Thatcher Conference 2025: Remaking Conservatism, hosted by the Centre for Policy Studies at The Guildhall. As Badenoch spoke, two protestors rose from the audience, unfurling banners that read “Abolish billionaires” and “Wealth tax now”.“Shame on you for celebrating Margaret Thatcher!” one of the protesters called out. “You want to talk about the future of conservatism? There will be no future!” another shouted.

Landmark Hotel CEO Hitts Protestors at Private Jets Conference

Several peaceful protesters have been assaulted by the CEO and security of the Landmark Hotel, London, during a demonstration against a private jets conference held at the venue. 

The Corporate Jet Investor conference was derailed this morning when over 60 activists from Climate Resistance protested outside the building.

Multiple people protesting the event were hit or pushed to the floor by hotel representatives - including one by a man who is believed to be Landmark Hotel CEO Fergus Stewart
